                  CHOICE OF PROFESSION


   In olden days the profession of man was determined by his birth but now the time has enormously changed now a days everybody is free to choose any profession he likes but it is not a child's play to choose a proper profession if the profession is not properly selected it will be difficult for a person to get success in life his whole life may be spoilt he may find it difficult to adjust himself to the profession which he has made by accidentally or by a chance.


 
    This lead us to a vital question as to how we can make choice of an appropriate profession for this purpose we need to do some impartial self analysis and self assessment we should be in a position to know our qualifications ability and aptitude likewise we should also be aware of our weak points and shortcomings we know that every profession cannot suit everyone first of all A person should take his own health into account while selecting a profession for himself and infirm cannot join the Army. A man with a weak heart cannot be a good surgeon similarly a man with a defective voice cannot be a good teacher or a singer.

          Secondly taste and aptitude must be taken into account while making the choice of a profession men differ in their taste there are men who like to read active life while some like to work in office sitting in chair. Some want to become doctor professor engineer because this profession are held in a high Esteem by society some have a desire to start business so different people like to adopt different profession according to their taste or family background or financial position.


       Moreover while making a choice of profession we should not go alone it is always advisable to consult parents teachers Well wishes and others who have experience and maturity for example a Highschool student cannot make a right choice as he is not mentally mature to do so therefore he should not be allowed to take a leap in the dark he should consult his parents and teachers with the objective of making a proper choice of a profession then parent alone also may not be able to choose a proper profession for their wards as they may not be able to know the real taste and liking of their wards so the parents and their words must work together in order to make a proper choice if need be they must consult expert and professional in a particular field.

      Keeping in mind all the points mentioned above I want to become an officer in the Indian Army I am fully aware of hardship difficulties and dangers of life of an army officer I want to become an army officer because of the following reasons.
 
   First of all I belong to a rural area to face the difficulties and hardships in life are the inborn qualities of the people belonging to the rural areas I have also experience this difficulties in our camps I want to lead a life full of carrot and adventure.

          I want to lead a life full of opportunities to show my ability the life of an army officer is full of action challenges progress and promotions the whole of the nation is the service field of an army officer and thus I can get the opportunity to travel throughout the country while in other job one cannot go out of a limited area it may not be an attractive job for money earners but it is attractive job for respect earners . an army officer on high Esteem from the society.
 

            To sum up I would like to make it clear that becoming an officer in the Indian Army is the most cherished goal of my life I have already started planning and working for this I am sure one day I shall be a part of the great Indian Army which has a wonderful tradition of dignity service and sacrifice.
